JOB PURPOSE:

NMC is looking for a Quoting Analyst responsible for providing assigned sales teams, service personnel & customers accurate and complete equipment quotes. You will create quotes to provide internal and external customers with pricing and availability in a timely manner.
We’re looking for someone who excels at customer service, has strong communication skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced sales environment. Attention to detail is a must! The ideal applicant will have career interest in progressing to a CAT Sales Rep position and sell the number one brand in the heavy equipment industry. We will teach you the systems and product knowledge necessary to be successful and advance with the NMC Caterpillar team.  PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

• Determine acceptable margins for new bids, quotes and proposals, working with Product Management and Sales Management to obtain profitable business.
• Process incoming requests for quotations from assigned sales teams and prioritizes based on timelines, needs and customer.
• Compute quotation estimates using a variety of criteria, such as inventory availability, competitive position, price validity, and other logistical considerations.
• Enter quotations directly into NMCPRO for the most efficient win/loss recording and so that quotes may be leveraged directly to perform work.
• Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specification, and keeps abreast of changes, special marketing programs and warranty cost.
• Produce competitive, sought-after quotations and to assist teams with providing great customer service.
• Issue routine quoting analysis detailing quotes issued, pending quotes, win/loss percentages and performance of work performed based on quotes.
• Coordinate the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
• Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to purchased products.
